
Program Associate
The Program Associate is an energetic, highly organized, personable individual that serves as the primary contact for musicians and facilitates member eligibility and enrollment. The Program Associate is the first point of contact for our existing and new members and supports HAAM’s Musician Services department.
The Program Associate work will result in the fundamental execution of our mission; helping musician members obtain and maintain healthcare coverage, access resources, develop community awareness, and engage with our organization. This position also works to improve organizational efficiency and increase depth and breadth of services.
DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Primary responsibility to respond to musician inquiries in-person, email, phone or text
- Conduct in-person and virtual new member appointments
- Provide navigation for musicians to community resources
- Respond to phone and email inquiries from existing and potential members\
- Create internal referrals for complex navigation
- Determine program eligibility and process enrollments for new and renewing members
- Orient musicians to HAAM’s core programs and services
- Provide support during annual Open Enrollment
- Provide administrative support for Musician Services department
- Complete data entry for assigned projects (e.g., dental claims, premium assistance payments etc.)
- Complete reports as assigned
- Participate in community based events for our members
- Other duties as assigned
ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES and REQUIREMENTS:
- Work location: in office Monday through Friday from 9am-5pm, with occasional evening and weekend hours during special events.
- Ability to walk, stand, sit, kneel, push, stoop, reach above the shoulder, grasp, pull, bend repeatedly
- Lift and carry up to 25 lbs
- Ability to work protracted or irregular hours
- Ability to drive personal or agency vehicle for agency business and to maintain vehicle liability insurance.
EXPERIENCE/SKILL REQUIREMENTS
- Strong personal alignment with, and commitment to, HAAM’s mission
- 2+ years experience in customer service, program support, social services programming, administrative support, and/or healthcare navigation
- Can-do spirit and a natural ability to build positive relationships quickly
- Self-starter who embraces new challenge and is internally motivated to succeed
- Strong communication skills, both in-person and thorough email and phone
- Comfortable with and skilled in:

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE
- Musician and/or knowledge of the local music industry
- Experience facilitating communications with many groups of stakeholders
- Bilingual in Spanish
- Knowledge of the Affordable Care Act, healthcare billing, local resources and eligibility
COMPENSATION
- Non-exempt position, eligible for overtime, hourly rate between $22.12 and $25.00/hr
